Four budgets—not one number
Use separate lines for study costs, immigration and compliance costs, relocation costs and ongoing household costs. This makes it easier to see which amounts are confirmed and which still need a buffer.
- Tuition, student services and course materials
- Visa application, medical, police and document costs
- Flights, temporary accommodation, bond and setup
- Rent, food, transport, insurance and family expenses
Check timing as well as total cost
Some costs are due long before arrival. Record the payment date, refund terms, currency and evidence required for each large amount. Do not rely on future work income to make an unaffordable plan appear viable.
How Sorena's fee model works
Sorena does not charge a professional fee for admission support or student visa submission. A US$200 + GST account-opening fee applies, while government charges and third-party costs remain separate. Participating providers may pay Sorena a commission after an eligible student enrols and begins study.
